History and Social Sciences Course Offerings
The mission of the history and social science department seeks to prepare students for their future roles as active citizens and educated voters. Today’s global society requires students to be well informed about the many complex economic, social, and political challenges of the 21st Century.
Each course fosters reading, writing, and critical thinking skills, to empower students to become independent and thoughtful individuals, assess issues, and make well-informed, skillfully, and responsible decisions about their future, the nation’s, and the impact they may have on the world.
